Welcome to The Davis Center. For the past 50 years, the Davis Center dance studio has been a fixture in the Washington, DC community. Founded by Beatrice Davis-Williams, the center has trained thousands of young people in ballet, tap, modern, Hip Hop and other dance forms.

The Davis Center aims to instill in its students an enduring appreciation for the arts while at the same time helping them to develop perseverance, self-confidence, respect for others and the ability to work as a team.

Since 1969, the Davis Center has provided dance instruction and related arts education to Washington, DC metropolitan area residents of all ages and varied backgrounds. Through a process that requires consistent attendance, proper dance attire, and a firm commitment to learning, students are taught to dance and perform. While the ability to perform dance is an immediate outcome of our training, the strong work ethic, poise, determination and creative vision that our students develop ultimately equip them for success in any endeavor.

Our Founder

Beatrice Davis-Williams is the owner and executive director of The Davis Center dance studio. Ms. Davis-Williams’ vision and perseverance—and passion for teaching dance—has led to the building of an invaluable institution that has consistently succeeded at giving young people easy access to dance and related arts.

Ms. Davis and the Davis Center students have performed at senior citizen centers, churches, schools, civic associations, the Ward 4 Holiday Party, the Cherry Blossom Festival and numerous others events and venues.

The Davis Center has long stood out among Washington–area dance schools because it not only provides its students with a strong foundation in the performing arts, but it also teaches them the importance of caring for others through ongoing community service projects.

What people are saying:

The Davis Center is an amazing studio to bring your child, grandchild, Goddaughter, niece or friend. My granddaughter joined the Davis Center last year for the first time. She has learned so much and most of all she enjoyed dancing. At the recital, I saw the joy in her face performing in her ballet, tap and liturgical dance. The atmosphere is so warm and caring everyone treats you with love. I’m glad I chose the Davis Center looking forward to our return in September.
